Sheet Metal Brake Modifications

I had several improvements that I wanted to incorporate but for most bends the basic design is workable. I think a modified design for the support that is welded to the leafs could enable easier clamping for stops etc. for multiple parts. (the inverted angle leaves very little clamping area on the leafs) I had planned to modify the clamp leaf with a ridge along the top edge and a set of removable leafs in different lengths(1",2",3",4" etc) to be bolted on for bending between flanges, but have not done it yet. As Dave Gingery explains in the book the length can be shortened for bending thicker material, and you may want to consider this if you plan on bending the thick stuff. *1
